I started slowing down long enough to notice the beauty hiding in ordinary places.
House of Jade is my invitation for you to notice it too. 💚
Life has taken me down roads I never would have chosen for myself. Some chapters changed me completely. Some losses changed the way I love, and there were seasons when simply making it to the next day took more strength than I knew I had.
But somewhere along the way, I learned to look for the light.
I realized how precious this life really is and how much of mine I had spent just trying to make it to whatever came next. I don't want to live that way anymore.
These days, I want to notice things. I want to take the picture, spend time with the people I love, grow the plant, stop for the sunset, and appreciate the ordinary moments while they're still happening.
I can't change the roads that brought me here, but I can choose how I travel the ones ahead of me.
And this time, I don't want to rush through them.
The way sunlight filters through the trees in my garden, where a beautiful jade plant thrives, a flower blooming in an unexpected spot, or a tiny creature that makes me pause, these are the moments I cherish. A stranger's smile that blooms into a friendship, a long drive alongside stunning views of the USA, and the people who lighten my life just by being present. I've learned to hold tightly to what brings joy, love my family well, laugh whenever I have the chance, and let go of those things that take more than they give. I travel often, capturing precious moments wherever life takes me. I've realized that the most beautiful aspects of life aren’t found in grand events, but in the ordinary moments we almost overlook.
I'm not here because I've had a perfect life. I'm here because I've finally built a life that I genuinely love living. House of Jade is my opportunity to turn that passion into portrait photography that captures precious moments and photographs that preserve memories. I want to highlight nature, reminding us to slow down, and showcase acts of kindness shared between strangers. As this little dream grows the way I hope it will, I envision a plant truck filled with even more life and joy here in the USA. I'm starting small, pursuing something I love, and curious to see where it leads me. If anything I create, whether it's photography or another expressive form, makes someone stop, smile, take a picture, appreciate the person beside them, support another small dream, or notice a bit more beauty on an ordinary Tuesday, then this dream is already fulfilling my hopes.
